Get to know me at a personal level
I’m about to turn 40 when I decided to follow my husband in Japan. Why? Maybe because I believe in the saying “Life begins at 40”, so I need to leave my comfort zone, have a different mindset, and go on a different journey. But of course, the number 1 reason that changed my mind about leaving the country close to my heart is – I want my daughter to experience growing up with her mom and dad physically present in every milestone of her life. I want her to have a complete family, with whom she can always turn whenever she needs comfort, love, and guidance.
I’m a Filipina mom, now living in Atsugi, Japan. Atsugi is a city located in Kanagawa Prefecture and it’s an hour and 4 minutes away from Tokyo via train. What I like about this city is, it is not as busy compared to Tokyo. It feels more laidback and not too crowded. Yes, there are malls here, but there are still parks and different campsites where you can still enjoy the beauty of nature.
Join me as I explore Atsugi with my family. How do I balance life as a foreigner living in a country with a different culture (and a language that is too difficult for me to learn! 😢), managing my life as a mom, wife, and freelancer…
By the way, welcome to my page, and nice to meet you!!! 😊
